At SRM University, the student accommodation is a "home away from home". They instill self-confidence and a spirit of camaraderie among the students, and contribute to professional fraternity. There are separate hostels for men and women on the campus, with all the necessary facilities.

KATTANKULATHUR CAMPUS

Among the hostels on this campus, 9 are dedicated for men and 6 for women. All the hostels are well-equipped, with adequate ventilation and lighting facility. Each room is fitted with tube lights and fans, and each student is provided with a cot, chair and a table. Periodicals and newspapers are supplied to each hostel.

HOSTELS FOR MEN

T.R.S. Hostel

This 4200 sq m hostel has 116 rooms with attached bath and toilet facilities. There are 64 rooms accommodating 3 students in each, while the rest have 2 students in each room. The hostel also has a 320 sq m dinning hall.

Sannasi - Block

This 7840 sq m hostel has 290 rooms of 31 sq m each, with attached bath.

Paari, Kaari, Oori and Adhiaman Blocks

There are 1200 rooms with a common bath and 3 students can be accommodated in each room.

Began Hostel

This 2813 sq m hostel has 123 rooms, each with an area of 15 sq m. The ground floor rooms have an attached bath, while the upper floor rooms have a common bath.

Medical College Gents Hostel

There are 176 rooms with an attached bath, and two students can be accommodated in each room.

HOSTELS FOR WOMEN

Meenakshi Women's Hostel

This 6850 sq m hostel has 124 rooms with attached bath. Each room has an area of 26 sq m and 3 students can be accommodated.

Prof. K.S.R. Hostel

This hostel has 139 rooms of 18 sq m each, to accommodate 3 students in each room. The total built-up area of 6771 sq m also includes two dining halls - 150 sq m each.

Kurinji Block

This hostel has 98 rooms of 31 sq m each, to accommodate 3 students in each room. The total built-up area of 3100.

Mullai, Thamarai and Malligai Blocks

There are 558 rooms with common bathrooms, and each can accommodate two students

RAMAPURAM CAMPUS

The Hostel facilities at Ramapuram Campus can accommodate about 1250 students (1000 girls & 250 boys). All campus accommodation has resident tutors and a warden who are responsible for the welfare of resident students and for ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

MODI NAGAR CAMPUS

The Modi Nagar Campus in Delhi has an excellent living environment with separate Hostel facilities for girls and boys. It can house more than 150 students.

ADMINISTRATION

The day to day activities of the hostels are taken care of by the council of wardens and are closely monitored by a hostel committee, which consists of the Chief Warden, Heads of the Institutions and Director (FA&CL).

Admission Procedure

• Application for admission to the hostel should be made in the prescribed form, which can be obtained from the hostel office on payment of the prescribed fee
• Request for admission by post will not be entertained
